... I drove us back. It took only about three-quarters of an hour to get there, not nearly long enough, in Ursula's opinion, to impress upon me what a stupid bastard wanker I was. It's best to let her get it out sometimes. Because I'm so tuned in to her emotionally, I understand that when she's set to full-on rant it's crass and unhelpful to interrupt her flow with counterarguments, facts, etc. I just allow her to release her tension, unstaunched. Making long sighs, shaking my head, clicking my teeth and letting out small, ironic laughs is okay, though; I think she finds that soothing.
